For Lemming film, we made a new visual identity. The website has a smooth scrolling interaction that reflects the time-based movement of film. The high quality productions that Lemming Film is famous for are displayed with grandeur.

This identity and website shows that design can work cross-media through minimal design effects that are different in each medium. Websites with only one typeface, black on white, with minimal sizes are rare. The interaction brings it to a next level.

The identity that we developed makes use of one font only – in a only a few sizes. The logo is black on white. For the ident there is a simple movement. ‘Film’ starts upside down and rotates to it’s position, showing the elegant balance that is in the wordmark. For the website this elegance is found in a smooth interactive feel: as you scroll down the images grow to a perfect size.

Lemming Film was looking for a simple and clear style to do their communication.

DESIGN - E-COMMERCE & WEBSITE / NOMINATION

Strong in its minimalism. That’s also the limitation, we would have liked to see this effect applied to the whole experience of the website - this could have scored the project higher. We want to celebrate original takes on user experience design, this is a great example of originality without giving in on user friendliness. Beautiful transitions that perfectly fit - it has a very unique style that the jury have not come across before. It fits the minimalism and contemporary style very well.
